The Golden Apple and the Awakening at the Heart of Troy

April 12th, early morning. As I opened my eyes in the misty silence of Mount Ida (Kaz Dağları), I could feel the energetic ripple of Neptune’s upcoming transition into Aries. My body was far from the city, but my soul felt as though it stood in the center of history. I retreated for three days into silence, fire, and water on the ancient lands of Güre, under the legendary shadow of Troy. This was not just my personal purification—it felt like a cleansing of the collective consciousness.

My purpose in coming to this retreat was to listen to what the sky was whispering to the Earth. The eclipses, planetary alignments, and energetic shifts we experienced throughout March were telling a story through symbols. And I believed there was no better place to interpret that story than the mythical land Homer once called the ‘misty golden Mount Ida.’

And during those days, a myth resurfaced in my mind: the story of the Golden Apple.

The Golden Apple: Not Just a Myth, but an Inner Trial

Let us recall the competition among the goddesses on Mount Ida—the tale of the Golden Apple. When Eris throws the apple marked “to the fairest,” it pits Hera, Athena, and Aphrodite against each other. Paris is chosen to decide who deserves it. He gives the apple to Aphrodite, who promises him the most beautiful woman in the world—Helen. The result? The Trojan War.

But this is more than just a war for love. It is a metaphor for the choices we face within ourselves. Power (Hera), wisdom (Athena), and love (Aphrodite)—each of us chooses between them, every single day. And every choice creates a fork in the road.

The Golden Apple symbolizes the test between desire and truth. Paris’ decision reflects how our inner desires shape our destinies. The fall of Troy mirrors the individual and societal consequences of conscious—or unconscious—decisions.

Where Are Today’s Trojan Wars?

Today, the Trojan Wars are not fought behind city walls but behind screens, within digital systems, and across political landscapes. The choices we make affect not just our own paths but the fate of entire communities. Just like Paris' single decision led to war, our everyday choices shape the world around us.

And who is Paris today? Perhaps you. Perhaps me. Perhaps all of us. Each day, as we choose between beauty, power, and wisdom, we decide to whom we offer the Golden Apple.

The Film Troy and Modern Mythology

In Wolfgang Petersen’s Troy (2004), the myth is reimagined for modern times. What stands out in the film is that the war begins not by the will of gods, but through human choices. This reminds us that the responsibility lies with us. The energies exist, yes—but we are the ones who guide their direction.

Just as Paris’ choice altered the course of a civilization, the choices of today’s leaders, societies, and individuals carry transformative power. The butterfly effect is now in human hands. Which brings us to the celestial messages of 2025.

Heaven and Earth: The Astrological Message of 2025

The eclipses and planetary movements in Aries and Aquarius during the first half of 2025 ask us:

“Who am I?”“What is worth fighting for?”“Where does my true power lie?”

When Aries' courage combines with Aquarius' vision, the seeds of great collective change can be planted. But for a new order to emerge, we must first recognize the “wars” within ourselves.

The Golden Apple still lies before us. But this time, for far greater questions:What will we choose in our collective consciousness? Will we pursue power, or will we build love?

A Message from Mount Ida: Who Holds the Apple Now?

On the final morning of my retreat, as I descended Mount Ida, one question echoed within me:“If Paris were given the apple today, what would he choose?”

But Paris is no longer a single man. Paris is you. Paris is me. Paris is all of us.

The Golden Apple is now in our hands. And instead of choosing beauty, power, or wisdom alone—perhaps this time, we can choose peace, compassion, and love.

And maybe this time, Troy doesn’t have to burn... What do you think?
